General Information

The Schloß Albrechtsberg Master Concerts are an insider’s tip for connoisseurs and lovers of sophisticated and top-class chamber music. Since 1993 under the artistic direction of Jan Vogler internationally renowned soloists and ensembles guest in this concert series. The performances take place in the gorgeous Kronensaal (Crown Hall) in one of the most beautiful buildings of late classicism in Dresden. Also young highly gifted artists are consistently given a stage.

From the 2007/2008 season the Moritzburg Festival has taken over the Master Concerts, which is an unique chamber music series in whole saxony, from the “Konzert- und Kongress- gesellschaft mbH Dresden”. Since then in 5 concerts per season stars of the international music scene present attractive chamber music programmes.

Furtheron a work series is addicted to the performance of the complete string quartets by Ludwig van Beethoven.

In the 2011/2012 season two of the Master Concerts will be in cooperation with the Dresden Music Festival, one of them in the new Concert Hall of the Hochschule für Musik Dresden.
