General Information

Since 2001 tour and guest concerts are an important component in the conception of the Moritzburg Festival to be present in the international music scene apart from the main activities in summer. In extraordinary formations Moritzburg Festival artists successfully toured the Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York as well as a large number of European music centres e. g. Rome, Milan, Brussels, Warsaw and Berlin.

The Moritzburg Festival Academy, founded in 2006, is included in the Moritzburg Festival’s tour planning too. The Festival Orchestra already appeared at the Festival MDR Musiksommer, at the renowned Festival young.euro.classic in Berlin and at the King Albert Theatre of Bad Elster.
