Am I too old to apply?
As we want to support young talents there is an age limit. We accept applications from music students aged between 16 and 26 years. As far as you are 26 when you apply we are looking forward to receiving your application.
Which application documents are required?
Following application documents are required:
- curriculum vitae
- photo (print quality, 1 MB min.)
- 2 video recordings of your own choice (1 piece of baroque/classical repertoire and 1 piece of 20th/21st century).
You can present the whole piece or a single movement.
Do I need accompaniment on my application video?
No, it’s not obligatory.
Is baroque/classical or romantic/contemporary repertoire also compulsory for Timpani?
The jury is flexible concerning the repertoire of this instrument; the applicant may choose two pieces of any epoch. What is important is that the jury can get a good overview of the applicant’s playing and skills.
Is it possible to apply as ensemble?
It is not possible for ensembles to apply, only as individual artists.
How much time will the evaluation process take?
Due to the high number of applications, the jury asks for understanding that the evaluation process may take up to six weeks after application deadline to complete (depending on the instrument).
